Dual Enrollment Program
Newberry Academy recognizes that every student is different, and we aim to offer our Junior and Senior students opportunities that help them best fit their college and career goals. One of the ways that we do this is through partnerships with colleges. Currently, Newberry Academy offers Dual–Enrollment classes through USC Union, Newberry College, Piedmont Technical College, and Lander University. To best fit the needs of our students, some of these courses are held on our campus, some are at the college, and some are online.
We carefully help our students choose classes that transfer to their desired college, and that prepare them for the classes they plan on taking there. This year, our current Juniors and Seniors are taking classes that include Psychology, History, Sociology, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Speech, English, Criminal Justice, and Computers.
Most of our students start college with at least a semester of classes completed, provided at little or no cost to themselves.
