Parents' Council

Newberry Academy is a partnership of parents, students and faculty, with each group being essential to the life of our school. Our Parents' Council works to support and strengthen the mission of our school community through various activities and volunteer opportunities. All parents become members of our Parents' Council upon enrolling in Newberry Academy and are required to complete service hours during the year that help to enrich our school and support its annual activities.

Parents' Council meets the last Monday of every month in the Newberry Academy Library. We invite all of our parents to attend the meetings and learn about the great ways you can help support our school!

To start the 2017-18 school year off right, Parents Council worked hard to make some amazing upgrades to the Newberry Academy campus. Fresh paint on the walls, beautifully decorated planters and decals on the front porch, a renovated Teacher's Lounge, new front entryway furniture, new boys & girls bathroom toilets and a stylish girl's bathroom were just some of the projects our dedicated parents completed this summer.

In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, which is held the first week in May, Parents' Council organized some special ways to say "thank you" to the teachers and staff that make Newberry Academy a great place to work and go to school. Thank you to all of the parents who helped to fill goody buckets to surprise our teachers!
