Congratulations to Brandy Blanton who was elected as Governor of the South Carolina Jr. Civitans and to Alicia Horne who was elected as the Area IV Lt. Governor!!
This past weekend Brandy Blanton, Alicia Horne and Mrs. Fulmer attended the Jr. Civitan State Convention in Myrtle Beach, S.C. It was a fun filled weekend of activities, which included meetings, games, election of officers and the convention ended with a banquet and awards ceremony. There were two notebooks submitted for awards – Club President of the Year and On-going Campaign of the Year. Brandy Blanton received 2nd place for Club President of the Year and the club received 1st place for On-going Campaign of the Year. Both notebooks will be submitted on the international level and the winners will be announced at the International Convention in Jacksonville, Florida in June. The Newberry Academy Jr. Civitans also received certificates of participation for Fun Fest, Collection Selection, Polar Plunge and CIRC Donation.
